We love the pink ferry. Using this weekly has become a very enjoyable part of the week. I use it during the summer to take the kids over for crabbing or ice-creams and now the winter months are drawing in just to get me, my friend, the dog and our bikes over from Hamble to Warsash. Fantastic service, and all for under a fiver!!The Skipper is also a true gem, & we always speculate what his topic of conversation will be this week. His banter is worthy of our listening.

The good old Pink Ferry!
I love this and so do the kids, You can make a day of it, We usually start at Holly hill woods, go through bunny fields and out to the river where you can't miss the bright pink ferry (what a great idea to paint it that colour you really can't miss it!).
If there's not a ferry waiting, it won't be long and you can watch it coming back.
when we get to Hamble on the other side of the river we usually stop for lunch, an ice cream do some crabbing aand then get the pink ferry home again. There is lots to do in Hamble and the ferry is by far the best way to get there and its cheep and fun.
They also run an evening pink ferry taxi ride but you have to book in advance.
A must for the warmer months. A perfect little day out - walk along the Swanwick shore, pink ferry across to Hamble for a sopt of crabbing, then picnic, back home for tea. Lovely.
