On Thursday 24th March, Bishop Christopher and Revd Philip Cochrane, Vicar, St Columba Church, Fareham visited students and staff at The Henry Cort Community College to mark the start of their affiliation to the Church of England.

Bishop Christopher met competition winners of a Religious Education project and also talked to the Student Council as well as Terence Chung, Head Boy and Kim Dewey, Head Girl. He also took the opportunity to meet youngsters from Oak Meadow School. During the visit, students were encouraged to get in touch with their spiritual views.

Mr Phil Munday, Principal at The Henry Cort Community College said, “We were delighted to welcome Bishop Christopher to our school community. We believe it is important to encourage young people to be aware of different faiths and beliefs and to encourage them to think for themselves.”
