This tiny restaurant, is lovely for going out to somewhere a bit special. It is more classy than your average pub restaurant. It's the type of place, if you don't know it is there, you might not find it. The menu is lovely, lots of dishes at different prices, something for everyone. Plenty of it too. I was very impressed with the choice of wine available - all good wines and at what I thought was good value too. Not a buzzing atmosphere to say the least, very quiet and cosy.

ReportI took my Mum here for her 70th Birthday and was very pleased I did.
The restaurant itself is a lovely 18th century building next to Hook village green almost in the middle of nowhere. The car park was a bit small but the welcome was friendly and cosy.
The menu was basically French and was very well balanced with something for everyone fish, meat, and poultry. The seasonal vegetables were perfect too and the service so friendly. I took my two young children and our waitress suggested as they dont have a childrens menu that the children share a main course. The waitress was very understanding with them and encouraged them to try the vegetables saying they could have a little and come back for more if they liked them. They did.
The wine list was amazing what a choice! We chose a Muscadet which was ideal with my pheasant.
Our three courses with wine came to £30 per head. A very enjoyable evening.
