Had a meal at Kams Palace just before Christmas. DISASTER!! I won't go into all the gory details but suffice to say we were not allowed what was promised when we booked, we were seated in a sort of alcove where spare tables and chairs were kept, people kept passing to fetch things from a store room, it was cold so were provided with a fan heater which was switched off every time someone accessed the store room and when the music started we couldn't carry on a conversation and had to move to the reception area by the door. The one redeeming feature was that the food was ok. Perhaps the most disappointing thing was I wrote and complained but never received the courtesy of a reply. Kams evidently don't care how customers are treated other than with contempt. I and my friends will not be going there again. I have waited 'till now to post this in the hope of a reply but they obviously can't be bothered.

I have only been here twice. but it is lovely and always a great night out. I have eaten here as part of a big group of family and friends and also just with my parents. the food is always lovely and there are lots of choice on the menu. The drinks are very expensive too and they don't really like to give you tap water. If you have something to celebrate, go to Kams as the atmosphere is lovely.
A quirky, big restaurant, ideal for going in a large group (normally I find smaller restaurants will tell you they have room for you but you end up cramped in a corner around a table that isn't really big enough, but in this place that just isn't going to happen). The food is authentic and good quality, and the portions are big so you won't need to overload on extras. The service is good and the place is well kept, with the tables and toilets pristine.
A huge restaurant with a very authentic feel. The decore is just amazing, makes you feel like you are part of the ming dynasty. Its very busy at the weekends, and occaisionally they have party nights with music after your meal. The food is a little bit pricey, but seems to be well cooked and always plentiful. Definately more of a party place to eat, than a quiet meal for two.
