What do others think of the Estate Agents here?

We are looking to buy a property in Locks Heath or nearby and have found numerous estate agents in the Park Gate and Locks

Heath area.

Having visited most of them we feel that the staff mainly seem efficient and friendly, although 'Your Move in Park Gate did

not seem interested in trying to find suitable properties to view. Maybe it was a bad day for the representative, but we

haven’t been back!

We have registered with many of the various estate agents as they usually email or text the details of new properties

before they are posted on their websites, although we have found you can be inundated with totally inappropriate properties

at times!

From the properties we have viewed we have found that the agents describe the properties reasonably accurately. However, a

word of warning. Although assuming, and being told by more than one estate agent, that in a fully integrated kitchen the

appliances are usually left, it cannot be taken for granted. Some details make it clear stating either ‘space for …’ or

naming the makes etc. of the appliances that are to remain, but others have left it open so enabling the vendor to choose

later whether or not they are going to take the appliances. So when viewing the property care should be taken to have it

clearly detailed what is remaining and what is not.

Mann and Co seem to be mainly young girls working there - very lively and very bubbly - and Hampton Ivens seem solid. If I

was putting a house on the market I'd choose them.

We are hoping soon to have sold our house and be settled in Locks Heath!
