Thefts of catalytic converters in Locks Heath/Western Wards and camping on Warsash Common
By SNTFPWEST | Tuesday, May 25, 2010, 13:59
Unfortunately the area was hit last week with numerous thefts of catalytic converters from various vehicles. This was not isolated to the Western Wards but occurred across the Southampton, Eastleigh and Meon Valley area also. Arrests have been made in relation to some of these incidents and the priority crime team are now busy collating the various matters in order to ascertain if they can be linked.

I've had a report of people camping on Warsash Common. This is not unusual at this time of year and is generally not a problem. However there have been some large fires lit and once again broken beer bottles are being left behind. This is an understandable concern for members of the community, especially those with small children and dog walkers. I'll take a look at this with the team and will work with the council to tackle the issue of rubbish being left behind.
Outside of this the area has been relatively good in the last week. The recent spell of hot weather did not bring about an increase in Anti-Social Behaviour, which we find can be the case.
Priory Park has remained good following various Operations, and the Locks Heath Centre continues to be a priority. Use of the skate Park in this area is good but there have been reports of broken glass and damage to the surrounding area.
Until next week

It has been lovely around Locks Heath centre the gang must have moved elsewhere, but it is becomiing like a council estate with these so called hard men walking around with there pitbulls of the lead.
