Missing man Edwin Lewis / Pye. Anyone with any information or knowledge as to Edwin's whereabouts should call Dorset Police on 01202 222 222.
Mr Lewis who also uses the surname Pye is white, six feet one inch tall, of a slim build, clean-shaven with grey hair and wears glasses. He was last seen at 11.15pm on Monday, 10 May 2010, and has not made contact with his family or friends since.
When he was last seen, he was wearing a brown jacket with a green v-neck jumper and a white round neck T-shirt with casual trousers.
Inspector Jon McCarthy, of Dorset Police’s County Division, said: “We are concerned for Edwin’s wellbeing as he recently told his friends that he has been feeling very depressed.
“Edwin left without taking his personal possessions, including his wallet and mobile phone, and for him to disappear like this is out of character.
“He often visits beauty spots in Dorset and Hampshire, particularly coastal areas and bird watching sites, so it could be that members of the public may recall seeing him at such locations.”
Edwin’s car, which he may be driving, is a green Land Rover Defender with the registration of 9594EL.
Inspector McCarthy continued: “I’d urge anyone who knows of Edwin's whereabouts – and anyone else who has seen him since 11.15pm on Monday 10 May – to contact the police straight away.
“I’d also urge Edwin to contact us as soon as possible – we simply want to know that you’re ok.”
Anyone with any information or knowledge as to Edwin's whereabouts should call Dorset Police on 01202 222 222.
