Good afternoon.

As reported last week we have had a couple more attempted burglaries. One of these led to an intruder being disturbed and making off. A good E-fit image was completed [see picture 2] and to date we have had no more problems. Enquiries are ongoing into those responsible and a heightened Police presence has been put into the Western Wards.

Even with the two detained from Southampton we are still getting thefts from motor vehicles around the area one such theft was particularly high value tools from a works van.

Of some concern are two reports in the last week of a silver car driving around Locks Heath and taking pot shots at the public with a BB gun firing little plastic yellow balls. Obviously this has the potential to be far more serious should somebody be hit in the face. If you are aware of anyone doing this or have heard a rumour as to who may be responsible please drop me a line or call crime stoppers free and in confidence on 0800 555111or click this link.

Check the Park Gate West Safer Neighbourhood page of the Hampshire Constabulary website for the rolling list of beat surgeries. The Beat Surgeries are a good way of contacting the team so if you want to bring something to our attention then pop along.

I have now been given an extra Officer PC Bob Collier. He will be with us for about 6 months and will be covering Warsash as his default area. Hopefully you'll soon see him out and about.

On thursday I have an Anti Social Behaviour Panel meeting and have nominated 3 individuals for attention in respect of their behaviour whilst out in the community. This may well lead to Anti Social Behaviour Contracts, which if not adhered to, could result in an ASBO and parenting orders in the future - we shall see, no doubt.

Anyway, until next week take care.
