Recently moved to the Thatched Barn, Brook Lane in Warsash, Locks Heath, Titchfield Festival Theatre continue their Winter Season with performances of Robert Louis Stevenson’s famous pirate adventure ‘Treasure Island’.
First published as a book in 1883, Treasure Island is one of the most frequently dramatised and beloved of all novels. Reknown for its fantastic atmosphere, famous characters and plot action it is also a story of the ambiguity of morality. To a large extent the novel has created our modern day perception of pirates – treasure maps with ‘X’ marking the Spot, tropical islands, and one-legged seamen with parrots on their shoulders.
Treasure Island will show from Weds 9th December until Sat 19th December with all performances starting at 7:30pm. There will also be two Matinee performances at 2:30pm on Sat 12th December and Sat 19th December. Ticket prices are £9 - £10, but concessions are available.
