Fareham Borough Neighbourhood Watch Bulletin for Locks Heath 16th Oct 09

There is currently a rumour being spread around via Facebook with regard to a white van being driven around the area abducting children. This story appears to be countrywide and there is certainly no truth to it in this area. Please be aware should you come across anyone with concerns about this story.

They are not providing consumers with the required notice of right to cancel, which gives consumers a 7 day cooling off period.

Update on the two female purse thieves who were arrested in the act of theft in Fareham Town Centre in September. They each received a total of twelve months in prison, despite the fact that they had no previous convictions. Since their arrest, we have had no reported purse thefts on Fareham District. It is worth noting that one of the offences they were sentenced for was an attempted theft, which was foiled because the victim had her purse secured to her bag with a lanyard. We still have a supply of these at the police station and also at the mobile police surgeries that visit all areas on the district. Please just ask, they are free. Alternatively, please send an email request to this address and we will endeavour to get one to you.
