The highly successful Locks Heath Swim Squad (LHSS) are raising money once again to take several members of their teams to the popular Sports Training Resort Club La Santa in Lanzarote.

Locks Heath Swim Squad excelled at the recent Fareham Nomads Biathlon held at West Hill Park on the 6th June.
This will be the fifth year that the team have visited the resort for a ‘working holiday’ of training and resting.
Organising the trip is 36-year old Head Coach Linda Reid. Lynda, originally from Scotland, developed her love of swimming as a 4 year old in Gibraltar. Her family moved back to the UK when Lynda was 8 and lived firstly in Weymouth, then moved to Stubbington where Lynda swam for firstly Fareham Nomads, and later for Portsmouth Northsea.
Lynda has several National medals – she has taken part in both Olympic and Commonweath Trials however never quite made the team. Her last major competition was when she was 22, before she started with LHSS.
Lynda is also the swimming teacher for Locks Heath school for years 1, 2, 4, 5.
Locks Heath Swim Squad has 46 swimmers in total aged 7+, who are divided by ability into 3 swimming groups - Gold, Silver and Bronze. Each year Lynda takes members of the squad on a ‘working holiday’ to Club La Santa in Lanzarote – which is a self-contained sports resort and has some of the best training facilities in the sporting world. The children she takes are 9-13 years old and the resort is perfect for their age group. They train for 4 hours a day in the pool and on land, and get some time off at the Aqua Park to rest!
LHSS owned by Michelle Navay. She also owns Lee sands Gosport swim school and Lee Park – Farm Cross.
Locks Heath Swim Squad excelled at the recent Fareham Nomads Biathlon held at West Hill Park on the 6th June. They won an impressive total of 30 medals and three trophies! – See picture.
