Last few drops of summer sunshine? Shall we treat ourselves? Here are some Western Wards / Locks Heath pampering ideas -

Is it REALLY the end of summer? It seems to be all ‘Back To
-
Pamper yourself in Western Wards!
School’, ‘Back To Work’, fading tans and end of season sales, and how many
shopping left days till Chri… OK I won’t say it.
So what are we going to do about it? We can’t spend too much
money obviously because we’re poor after our summer holidays and we need to
save our precious money for Chris… oops - nearly.
How about a haircut? This always cheers me up. I’ve found a
great website for ideas if you fancy a change: SoFeminine. There are
literally hundreds of bang up to date styles on there.
Apparently the new thing is ‘floating highlights’. Not being
sure what these were, I asked Debbie, the manager at Debut in Warsash. Her team
have just attended a Redken seminar in London and are now fully trained in the
new technique. “It’s a new way of highlighting your hair that means re-growth is
less obvious,” Debbie explained, “Basically it means you don’t need to have them
redone so often.” Good idea.
Capelli Hair and Beauty on Botley Road have an offer running
until 31st October of two treatments for £25. This includes fake
bake spray tan if your tan is starting to fade. Their new senior stylist here is
Jo and she is offering a 10% discount at the moment as well.
Las Chicas in Swanwick also have a new stylist offering
reduced prices on her cuts, and stylist Jo is offering a free blow dry with
every wet cut. Are all stylists called Jo?
Pride in the Locks Heath Centre offer cheaper cuts on
a Wednesday when a wet cut will cost £16.50.
Oska and H M Hair Design (both in Park Gate), Trinity (Sarisbury
Green), Time Zone (Barnes Lane) and Panache (Warsash) don’t have any offers at
the moment.
What if you’re a man? You could go along to Herr Kutz (how
clever is that name!) in Warsash or to Sirs Only in Park Gate. No offers at
these though. Speaking to the receptionist at Sirs Only apparently men don’t
get pampered! Don’t they?
If you’re feeling more adventurous, how about getting
something waxed? Or perhaps a facial would be slightly more relaxing?
The Beyond Beauty therapist, Julie Randall at Nikleby’s in
Hunts Pond Road has an offer on her ‘Swiss Phyto Mask of Flowers’ facial (£42)
– buy two get one free. Advertised as ‘The ultimate natural relaxation
experience - a luxury post holiday treatment...’
Kerry at The Hair Apartment has a new beautician who started
yesterday and she is offering 50% off all her services; Femme Fatale in Warsash has 10% off all their Dermalogica skin care products and beautitians there are offering half price skin rehydration facials - now £17.50. The Beauty Studio in
Sarisbury Green doen't have any offers at the moment.
And for men? Well Mr Menz on Barnes Lane don’t only cut and
colour hair at very reasonable prices. Oh no. From October, manager Kim will be introducing a Male Waxing
service! I spoke to her about this just to clarify, and no – she doesn’t mean
your car, gentlemen.
But how about if you really deserve a proper pampering?
LBHealthcare in Whiteley has an offer at the moment of 15% off your first
therapy treatment - Sports massage, Hydrotherapy, and Modified Pilates are just
a few of the treats included in their offer. You can download a voucher from their website here.
Anyone else got any ideas?
Tina
