What about this SUN?! No I’m not complaining – although I

Mr Cotton (1 Blue) dancing to "Does Your Mother Know".
-
Engine from Hightown Fire Station.
-
PCSOs from Park Gate Police Station fingerprinting little suspects!
have nearly run out of sun cream.
Friday 25th June was Locks Heath’s Sarisbury
Infants School Strawberry Fayre – and what a beautiful day it was! I had heard
rumours of thunderstorms and even lightening strikes for Strawberry Fayre so I
was holding my breath, but the sun shone hot and bright for the whole day.
After a sultry picnic lunch, the children, all dressed in
dazzling attire, put on a stunning little show with songs and dances from
‘Mamma Mia’, which left me singing for the rest of the day. The energy from the
children was matched, and in many cases, exceeded by the enthusiasm of the
teachers! Mr Cotton (1 Blue) received a standing ovation from the crowd for his
dancing to ‘Does Your Mother Know’ – definitely a second career option for him
there I’d say.
The afternoon continued with more blistering sun, ice cream
and games.
Lads from Hightown Fire Station, Sholing, brought one of
their Fire Engines for all to climb on and PCSOs from Park Gate Police Station
were busy all afternoon fingerprinting and arresting little suspects.
A fantastic afternoon.
The PTA thank Book Nursery in Brook Lane for the
donation of the delicious strawberries (they really were!), and Park Gate
Police and Hampshire Fire and Rescue for supporting the event. Thanks also to
Solent Cycles who donated a mountain bike.
