This Sunday, 14th November, many churches will be holding Remembrance Day Services and even if you do not regularly attend a church service, I am sure you will be given a warm welcome on this special day.
St. Mary’s Church in Warsash will be conducting a Parade Service at
10.45 am. This will mean that Warsash Road and Church Road will be closed from 10 am.
There will be a 2 minute silence during the 10.30 am service in Warsash United Reform Church.
Locks Heath Free Church in Hunts Pond Road will be conducting a Service of Remembrance at 10.50 am.
The Remembrance service in St. Paul’s Church of England, on the corner of Barnes Lane and Bridge Road, will begin at 10.30 and will last for approximately 90 minutes.
For the early birds, St. John the Baptist Church of England in Church Road Locks Heath will be conducting Holy Communion with Act of Remembrance at 9.30 am. There will be refreshments in the Hall after the service.
St. Leonard’s Bursledon are holding a Service of Remembrance at 10.45 am.
It is sad to think that even as these services are being conducted there are still conflicts throughout the world and men and women are still being ‘killed in action‘.
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.
