THE TFT & AMNESTY PRESENT A GRIPPING, HIGH IMPACT DRAMA THAT WILL LEAVE AUDIENCES BEWITCHED
This multiple award-winning thriller has engrossed audiences in over 100 productions across the globe, spawning an Academy Award nominated film version. Coming from the genius mind of Canada’s Wajdi Mouawad, Scorched weaves its riveting mystery into a captivating time- shifting tapestry through the war-torn landscape of a foreign Country, inviting us to unravel an astonishing, shocking truth. The chaos of conflict has never been so immediate, so haunting, or so human.
In this epic mystery, twins Janine and Simon receive a surprising request from the last Will and Testament of their mother, Nawal Marwan; to deliver letters to a father they thought was dead and a brother they never knew existed. These tasks lead them on a dramatic journey into the dark heart of their mother's homeland, ripped apart by civil war. Uncovering the enigma, they learn about her concealed past as a political activist and prisoner of war and are told an horrific secret about their own origin!
