Titchfield Festival Theatre kick off their Summer Season in advance of the football which is about to hit our screens. No football content here though!
The whole season is based round the Edwardians or set in the Edwardian period.

Two short one act plays both set in 1910 at the height of the Edwardian period and written by two Edwardian playwrights start the season. Both plays have a marriage theme to them with different and often comical results

The Twelve Pound Look by J.M.Barrie (who was a prolific writer and not just famed for Peter Pan) tells the story of Sir Harry Sims who is about to be knighted. On the eve of his royal presentation he arranges for letters to be sent out to his friends and acquaintances. The duly hired secretary arrives with typewriter and the outcome is not quite what Sir Harry expects.
Night Errant is by another well known playwright of his day Georges Feydeau who is noted for his fast moving farces. Robert returns home from the Arts Ball , Yvonne his new wife, is not happy at his gallivanting and tells him so, add to this a maid with the flu and a case of mistaken identity and the stage is set for one of Feydeau’s famous farces.

Both plays run on the same night from 9th June to 19th June. Book Tickets for as little as £6.00. Box Office 01329 556156 or on line at http://tinyurl.com/rng5t
