The football may be well under way but TFT is producing the third play in its Edwardian season – not set in the jungles of Africa, but in Colonial India.
Rudyard Kipling was one of Britain’s great Edwardians and epitomised the period in every sense. This is an adaptation of his great novel The Jungle Book .…. Late one night, Shere Kahn the vicious tiger steals a man cub from the village – just as he is about to strike, Raksha the wolf & Bagheera the panther swing into action to save the defenceless baby. So begins the adventure of Mowgli, the little frog’s life with the Wolf Pack. Join him and his friends as he learns the laws of the jungle and grows up to be a man. Jungle Book will delight young and old alike as you are transported to the deep dark jungles of India.
The Jungle Book runs from 30th June - 10th July at the Thatched Barn Theatre, Brook Lane, Warsash. SO31 9FF.
