I have a friend visiting. What's the best pub for a quiet catch up on a Sunday Evening?

The Paxton is pretty good on a sunday for a relaxed, quiet natter and they do food etc.

"The Sir Joseph Paxton" - near the bottom of Hunts Pond Rd by the allotments. If you wanted to eat then the Jolly Farmer in Fleet End Rd is always good, if a little expensive.

The Jolly Farmer is excellent, though mostly for eating, not many tables for "catching up" chat unless your eating. You could try the Queens Head in the centre of Titchfield village. Lovely old world interior, a very well run family pub.

In my experience, for food, the Bold Forester at Sarisbury Green for excellent quality and reasonably priced food. For a general natter without food, then I would tend to agree that the Queens Head in Titchfield would be a good choice.
