we cant have community speed wardens because that would be absolutely mental, don't give the weirdos around here any more power, they're already little hitlers as it is.

although I guess you'd sign right up for it?

there's a reason it's only the police who are trusted with speed cameras

The problem with traffic islands on Locks Road is that it's already dangerous due to the number of cars parked on the side of the road, creating choke points which is a severe annoyance for people just wanting to get from A-B and buses etc. Though I personally always maintain a sub-30 mph speed, I am sometimes forced to briefly accelerate to get past parked cars due to oncoming vehicles that are not slowing down despite it being my right of way. On the whole though, most drivers are considerate, and give way as per Highway Code.

On the lower end of Locks Road, there is more space (near the surgery) and there are people who speed down there, but it's not so bad that I fear for my life each time I cross it as a pedestrian really.

Which race track are you referring too weepee? Locks Heath Centre?

It would be nice if something was done about the traffic on Admirals Road...the rat run to the M27, and a speedway on the weekends!
