I really enjoy coming here with the family and my dog. Earlier this year we went to a halloween event there, it was great, pumpkin carving and fancy dress was brilliant. Young children love the miniature railway that winds around the park. I love the tea shop that sells lovely cakes and hot chocolate that warm you up after a winter walk. I have never been up the tower (the remaining part of the old hospital) but I have heard that is very interesting. Definately worth checking out.

This park has everything, camping sites, bbq's to hire, mini train for the kids, Easter, Halloween, Bonfire & Christmas events (although The Easter Bunnies costumes could do with updating some-what!!!!) There's a cafe selling ice-creams & Teas. A shop for gifts in the summer. A toilet block, and small toilet block up by the bbq's. There are taps and dog bowls along woodland walks. Two parks, one for little ones and one for the more adventurous. A disabled roundabout for wheelchairs. A sensory garden. Acres of space for picnics, trees to climb and to top it all a beach!!!! fair dues it's not Barbados with a stunning view (Fawley is opposite) but it is still somewhere to splash about in on a hot summers day.
This place is so lovely. In the summer it does get busy at the weekends. This being said, there is always plenty of parking, and if you go away from the beach, you will always find somewhere tranquil. The tea shop is a great draw, lovely cakes and sandwhiches, a little pricey but convenient. You can always bring a picnic if you are staying for any length of time. I often go with my dog and family in the winter too. It is alot less busy, and if the weather is clement, it is a lovely place to go for a stroll.
