Road traffic collision in Titchfield on Wednesday 28th November

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was knocked off his bike in Titchfield.

The incident occurred at around 4.45pm on Wednesday, November 28 in Mill Lane.

A 41-year-old man from Fareham was riding his bicycle south on Mill Lane close to Segensworth Road East when he collided with a car that was travelling in the same direction.

The collision caused the cyclist to fall off his bike and hit his head on the road. The driver failed to stop at the scene.

The cyclist was taken by ambulance to Queen Alexandra Hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.

PC Chris O'Connor from the Roads Policing Unit said: "The cyclist was left lying in the road and the driver failed to stop.

"I would appeal for the driver, or anyone with information about the collision, to contact the police."
