Christmas will soon be upon us, and there is no doubt that Locks Heath Shopping Village will prove to be one of your “must visit” destinations this December.

Shops are stocked with festive goodies, Christmas has come to Costa Coffee (try a gingerbread latte, frosted mint hot chocolate or one of their other yummy seasonal drinks and cakes), and the ice skating rink is open to all (from 10am to 10pm every day until January 13th 2013).

Saturday 8th December will see the official Christmas Light Switch-on. The magical day will start at 11am. Later in the day you can meet Santa and his loveable huskies at 4.30pm before the official ceremony starts at 5pm. All day there will be live music, mouth-watering refreshments (including a selection of Christmas Festive Drinks to taste courtesy of Alexander Hadleigh Wine Merchants, and a mouth-watering BBQ from the Locks Heath Butchers), and of course, the ice rink. You can also collect exclusive Locks Heath People vouchers offering you discounts at businesses in the Locks Heath area, and even win £50 worth of vouchers to spend on treatments at Retreat Beauty and Holistic in Titchfield Common, courtesy of Locks Heath People.

Saturday 15th December - To make life just a little bit easier this Christmas, Locks Heath Shopping Village have teamed up with local Girl Guides to offer shoppers a free Christmas wrapping service! From 11am to 4pm, shoppers can bring their Christmas presents to the shopping centre and generous volunteers will help transform them into stunning creations, fit for a King to have under the tree. Shoppers will also be entertained by stunning live music from a great festive string duet. Christmas shopping with the family couldn’t get much better!

Saturday 22nd December - The loveable and cheeky Christmas Gargoyles, Rocksy and Granit, will be interacting and entertaining shoppers on their walkabout jaunts while a street jazz trio will be performing yule-tide classics to truly get everyone in the spirit.

Competition - This Christmas Locks Heath Shopping Village is giving you the chance to WIN Christmas!

Just correctly unravel the eight anagrams located in various shop windows around the Centre, and you could be in with a chance of winning them all!

A festive BBQ - Locks Heath Shopping Village will be holding a BBQ every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday lunch times throughout December (weather permitting). Come and sample the delights that the Locks Heath Butchers has to offer, and warm yourself up at the same time!
